What to post when you don’t know what to post

More content means more reach, and more reach means more sales. If you have credits left over, here is what to spend them on this week.

Ideas by content type

Each type costs a different amount. If your credits are running low, posts and stories give you the most for what they cost.

Posts

2 credits
  • Your best-selling product, photographed as if it were the only one you have.
  • A real before and after from a customer — with their permission, and ideally their name.
  • The mistake people make most when choosing what you sell, and how to avoid it.
  • A customer review, set over a photo of what they bought.
  • Your price, plainly. People ask, and almost nobody posts it.

Stories

2 credits
  • What you’re working on today, no production needed: behind the scenes sells.
  • A simple poll between two options, then share the result the next day.
  • Answer a question that came in by direct message, out in the open.
  • A countdown to something ending: stock, a season or a promotion.

Carousels

5 credits
  • Five ways to use what you sell that your customer hadn’t thought of.
  • A step-by-step look at how you work, from the first call to delivery.
  • Myths and facts about your industry, one per slide.
  • An honest comparison of two of your products, and who each one is right for.

Reels

10 credits
  • The whole process in fifteen seconds, sped up.
  • An everyday problem your customer has, and your solution, in that order.
  • A look inside your space: where you work and how it looks.

Four habits that actually move the needle

Post often before you post perfectly

Consistency matters more to the algorithm than production quality. Three simple posts a week do more than one flawless post a month.

Generate the whole month at once

Deciding twenty posts in one sitting takes less effort than deciding one every day. Build the full calendar and adjust as you go.

Repeat what worked

If a post got traction, tell the story again a different way in a month. Hardly anyone in your audience saw the first one.

Talk about what people ask you

The questions that reach you by message are already-validated content: someone wanted to know badly enough to write to you.
